About Us
The Association
The Tamaskan Dog Association (TDA) was founded in 2024 in an effort to provide a centralized and cohesive experience for Tamaskan Dog owners, breeders, and enthusiasts. The TDA’s goals are many faceted:
- To promote ethical and responsible breeding and ownership of Tamaskan Dogs worldwide;
- To be a comprehensive, international resource with respect to the heritage, health, and breeding of Tamaskan Dogs, regardless of breed politics or affiliations;
- To help and support those who wish to know or do more with the breed or their own dogs; and
- To grow and unify the community.
The founders are tired of infighting between breeders and registries, and the difficulty of finding readily accessible information on pedigrees, breeding dogs, and health. As such, the TDA was started so that anyone who wishes to submit information may, and by doing so, explicitly grants permission for the dissemination of this information for all other members. We aim to be a friendly and welcoming organization for the Tamaskan Dog community as a whole, with extensive resources made available to our members. Towards these ends, the TDA upholds members to high standards.
The TDA works in co-operation with the Tamaskan Dog Register (TDR), International Tamaskan Register (ITR), the Nederlandse Tamaskan Club (NTC) and Tamaskan Germany (TG). These registries provide us with registration and health data for our breed database. The TDA also works in co-operation with the Tamaskan Dog Diversity Project (TDDP), who provide us with Embark data for dogs tested through them.

Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct is established to protect both the Tamaskan Dog breed as well as the Tamaskan Dog Association Membership. Members recognize that, as individuals, their practices of ownership, breeding, sportsmanship, and ethics directly impact the well-being and sustainability of the breed. While no code can cover every aspect of ideal behavior or attitude, members recognize, by agreeing to these terms, that actions are the truest reflection of personal integrity, principles, and intentions. TDA members are committed to enhancing the Tamaskan Dog breeding community, providing for the community of owners, and upholding the welfare of the breed as their foremost concern.
